Save Money on Your Automobile by Fixing it Yourself

It’s hard to imagine that something simple like inflating your tires will have such an impact on the life of the tires. On top of that, you save on gas too. Do it yourself regularly and don’t wait till maintenance time.
Changing your own oil is actually easy and something I recommend doing. Additionally, you can pick the oil to use and make sure you are putting quality motor oil in your car.

It probably takes 10 - 20 minutes of your time to change your tires yourself, but most people pay someone and wait hours in line just to get the same service. It’s just not worth it.
Unless you are a mechanic, it’s impossible to do major repairs yourself. You also really need to know what you are doing because a missing screw can mean life or death.
There are many accessories you can buy for your car, but they are basically all a waste of money. Do it if you love it, but if you are thinking about cash, don’t.
You may not know how to change break pads, but you really don’t need to go to the dealership to do this. Many people can do this for you, so just go to a trust mechanic and ask her to change them out.
There’s no need to ask for a favor because changing lightbulbs is actually a very easy task. It’s literally the same as changing a light bulb in your house so just do it yourself.
I’m not saying that you should do your wheel alignment yourself though, because it’s pretty much impossible. You need equipment to do it which you will never have so pony up the cash.
